SERMON: Obama in Israel: Believe It or Not

There is an old Yiddish expression which tells us: “Az mir lebt delebt min – that if you live long enough, you live to see everything.” I really never thought that during my lifetime the answer to the question: who is the best friend Israel has in the whole entire world? – could be “Barack Obama.” But what else can one say after his recent visit to Israel? This man sounded like more of a Zionist than I am! Listen to some of his words … the Jewish people “tended the land here, prayed to God here… After centuries of exile and persecution unparalleled in the history of man, the founding of the Jewish state of Israel was a rebirth, a redemption unlike any in history.” He went on to declare the United States’ alliance with Israel as being “lanetzach” – eternal!  READ MORE
