The Tragedy in Connecticut

December 18, 2012

There are no words to describe the enormity of the tragedy in Connecticut.  The attached article has some thoughts on how to attempt to avert future horrors in our country.  Please, God, let it be.

  • In The pervasive violence in our midst, Rabbi Michael Melchior  asks, “Isn’t it appropriate that a much broader and deeper conversation be opened, one that concerns not only Americans, but all of us who are searching for a society where values and cultural mores are taught?”
  • In Stop the slaughter, change U.S. gun laws now, Alan Dershowitz wants to know, “If the Newtown killings don’t oblige legislators and courts to show courage against the gun lobby and its junk politics and to end the easy availability of weapons that are efficient killing machines, what ever will?”
