Giffords, Palin & Mubarak; the Jewish Angle

Part II! In last week’s sermon I spoke of the Jewish dimension in the case of Jonathan
Pollard and on recent revelations regarding Henry Kissinger. Today is Part II … Part II which
tells us that there is not always a Jewish dimension!
Our Torah portion this morning focused on the building of the Tabernacle the Jews used
on their way to the Promised Land … the forerunner for the Beit Hamikadesh in Jerusalem. This
“house of God” was considered so significant that the precise details that went into it take up the
major portion of the next five Torah portions in the Book of Exodus. For most people, with the
destruction of the temple in the year 70, much of these Torah portions have lost much of their
